What if my vehicle is still covered by the manufacturer's service contract?
So the earlier you purchase an auto protection plan, the less it will cost. Also note that the service contracts coverage applies for a period of years beginning from the vehicle's in-service date.
How do I choose the right coverage plan terms?
It's always better and less expensive to buy a service contract when you have fewer miles on your vehicle. The more miles you have on the vehicle, the more you should expect to pay. However, you need to consider your driving habits. Examine how many miles you drive each year and how long you plan to keep the vehicle. Your answers will help you determine the best term and mileage options.
Are coverage plans available for both new and used vehicles?
Yes, coverage plans are available for both new and used vehicles. Your vehicle's make, model, year and mileage determines how the vehicle is classified. Vehicles beyond a certain age and/or mileage may still qualify for a new vehicle service contract. If not, it will qualify for a used vehicle service contract.
Can I still buy a service contract if my manufacturer's contract has expired?
Yes, you may still purchase a service contract after your manufacturer's service contract has expired, however, the longer you wait, the more expensive the policy becomes.
What's included with the purchase of a service contract?
Most service contracts purchased from AW AutoPro include roadside assistance during the full coverage term. If you have a break down anywhere in the United States or Canada, one phone call will provide you with assistance for fuel, flat tires, a dead battery and more. This benefit also includes a per day allowance for alternate transportation (rental car) and an allowance for a hotel and meals if the breakdown is more than 100 miles from your home.
Are after-market components covered?
No. After-market items are not covered by any service contract company. Only factory installed components are eligible for coverage; for example oversized tires, engine chips or aftermarket exhaust systems.
Where can I have repairs done?
You can have your vehicle repaired by any licensed repair facility in your area. You may take it in for repairs at your original dealer, your local ASE Certified repair shop.
Is the service contract transferable if I sell the vehicle?
Most service contracts we offer can be transferred. In fact, your used vehicle may be worth more because you can transfer your service contract into the new owner's name.
Why not buy from the dealership?
The main reasons you shouldn't buy a service contract from a dealership are price and flexibility. Dealerships use the sale of service contracts to increase their profits and will often finance the service contract's price with your vehicle. So not only are dealership prices higher, but you also end up paying interest on your service contract purchase, making it even more expensive. Additionally, a dealership's service contract is typically restricted to being valid only at the location where the service contract was purchased. A service contract from AW AutoPro does not have these restrictions, and because dealerships are not used as "middlemen", you get better coverage at a much lower price.
